Machiavelli is featured in the episode talking to Cesare about perfect crimes, princes and a plot to capture Naples--most fitting, as there would be one prince standing in the way of Cesare's plans for Lucrezia (Alfonso D'Aragona, Duke of Bisceglie and Prince of Salerno).
